Where does your energy come from?
Energy cannot be created or destroyed. Including yours.
The amount of energy there is in the universe doesn’t change. It just gets transferred.
The energy from an apple transfers to your body when you eat the apple. Then your body converts the chemical energy in that apple to mechanical energy to move your joints and muscles.
The life you want to live requires energy. Meeting new people, playing with your kids, presenting yourself with confidence, navigating a difficult conversation, creating art, pushing to meet a deadline, negotiating for higher pay… all these things take energy. You need a supply.
If you’re burning the candle at both ends, eating crap, not moving your body, and feeding your mind junk, you won’t have what it takes to build the life you want.
You can’t just manufacture energy when you need it. It has to come from somewhere.
If you want a meaningful life, it’s going to take some work.
Make it possible by nourishing your physical body, getting rest, and nurturing your mind.
A full life takes energy. Take care of yourself.
